The original interactive scenes of the Virtual Mummy allow to explore the mummy in various ways, and to annotate, color or search for its constituents. While the full functionality is not available on the web, you can nevertheless view video clips of the scenes (page to be completed).
Scene 1
A plane moves through the mummy’s head, and the corresponding computer tomograms are displayed.
On the CT images, various structures such as outer mask, linen wrapping (gray), and bone (white) are clearly visible.
Scene 2
The mummy’s head opens along two cut planes.
Scene 3
The mummy’s head is unwrapped layer by layer.
Visible structures of the head include the painted mask, the crown of justification (yellow), the linen wrapping (orange), the skull and the cervical spine, the ointment (blue), the stick (green) and the coffin floor (violet).
Scene 4
The mummy’s skull rotates in front of the pyramids.
Scene 5
The mummy’s head is x-rayed in all directions.
Scene 6
The mummy’s teeth may be examined in an “X-ray window”.
The X-ray images show some interesting findings.
