VOXEL-MAN History

	The researchers of the DESY-UKE working group The introduction of computers to the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) began with first time applications in clinical chemistry and nuclear medicine by the working group Medical Information Processing of the Deutsches Elektronensynchrotron DESY established in 1969. It merged in 1978 with the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science in Medicine of the UKE.

	The Researchers of the VOXEL-MAN Project The research was work of a large number of scientists of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science in Medicine, collaborators in the University Medical Center and the University of Hamburg and a dedicated team of medical and computer science students.
